Bio

Born 19.09.1947 in Warsaw. Director, screenwriter, producer.

Janusz Zaorski graduated from the Lodz Film Academy (PWSFTviT), specializing in film, television and theatre directing. He directed many movies both for cinema and television: Bodensee (Jezioro Bodenskie) – Grand Prix Locarno 1986, The King’s Mother (Matka Krolow) – Silver Bear Berlin 1988, Saved by a Miracle (Cudownie ocalony) – Grand Prix European Festiwal of TV films, Plovdiv 2005, Siberian Exile (Syberiada polska) – Grand Prix Seattle 2012.

He is a PhD teacher in the Theatre Academy in Warsaw, where his field of expertise is “The Actor and the Media” and “History of Polish Cinema”.
